Honey, honey and more honey! Honey has been a life saviour for me through skin care and hair care, it has become a beneficial product for me, it affordable and contains many properties such as:
Prevents hair loss
Smooths and tames frizz
Full of antioxidants
Allows hair to become more moisturised
and many more, as the list goes on and on
Honey and Olive Oil Hair Mask:
1/2 cup of honey
1/4 cup of olive oil
You can reduce or increase to your desired amount. The amount above is for medium to long hair, but as I said you can reduce or increase to the length of your hair. I use this hair mask before and during winter, as this when my hair becomes dry and brittle to the harsh weather.
Mix the honey and oil in a bowl and apply to your hair, cover with plastic bag and leave for 30 minutes or more. Wash hair and enjoy! 🙂
I have news!! After contemplating months after months, I have finally decided to do this cosplay!! The cosplay I’m doing is Silica from Sword Art Online. I have rough sketches and ideas on how to bring life into this cosplay with the help of Atashi, she is also a blogger, who has truly inspired me. She has been giving me ideas and tips how to make it, and I am truly grateful for it. I know this will be a challenge to make from scratch but I have finally decided that I will do it.

The top blazer and the bottom blazer are a true red colour, which a brighter shade of red compared to the anime. I couldn’t find poplin in the shade of true red so I went with tomato: http://www.lincraft.com.au/polypop-1. I purchased 3.5 metres of poplin. I also purchased a pair of Ansell white gloves for $ 1:50, which have also added into the dye bath.
I made a red halter top a few years ago, unfortunately I do not have pictures of the progress but, I will be dying this with Rit Liquid Dye “BLACK”
UPDATE: Dying the dark coloured red into true red, wasn’t really a success, it was tad brighter but was not the colour I was looking for.
Bananas are great to eat, but they’re also good for hair mask as they’re rich in vitamins, and allow your hair to be moisturised. Honey does great wonders for your hair, as it strengthens your hair follicles, which promotes hair growth. It prevents scalp infections due to its antibacterial properties. It also locks in moistures and allows your hair the be shiny and healthy, especially during those cold winter months.
1 Large Banana
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
1 teaspoon of macadamia oil
1 teaspoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of honey
Oils listed above, do not need to be added, but will provide extra shine and nutrients to your hair. The oils are listed to show a variety of different oils you can use, but you are welcome to use other oils.
Cut up your banana into smaller pieces. Use either a blender or food processor, and add in all ingredients, you can add a bit of water so it blends smoothly. Blend into a smooth consistency. Make sure there are no banana chunks, as this can make rinsing you hair a difficult process. Pour the banana mixture into a bowl, and apply to damp hair. Cover and tie up hair for 30 minutes or an hour. Wash out your hair and enjoy! 🙂
Is it battle to control your hair from frizz, are you tired of dry and brittle hair…? Then have I got a hair mask for you. Note that you can also use this on normal hair if you want to deep condition it.
Avocados are high in vitamins “B” and “E” which is crucial for hair growth, it helps strengthen and protect your hair. Avocados also moisturize and help tame frizz. They promote hair growth and prevent hair loss, which is good for anyone trying to grow their hair out.
All hail coconut oil! Coconut oil is literally a miracle product for hair, it’s quite affordable and above all it’s natural! It promotes hair growth and prevents hair breakage and split ends. Coconut oil moisturizes deep into the hair follicles causing the hair to become shiny and soft.
The amount of coconut oil used for this hair mask, is determined on the size of your avocado.
Large Avocado – 1/2 a cup of coconut oil
Medium Avocado – 1/4 a cup of coconut oil
Small Avocado – 1 tablespoon or more of coconut oil
First pour the coconut oil into a blender, and scrap the meat of the avocado and add it with the coconut oil. Blend into a smooth and thick consistency. Pour into a small bowl. You can use the hair mask as it is, or put in the freezer for 5-10 minutes. This can make applying the hair mask much easier, and less messier. Use you fingers to apply this all over you hair, I recommend you leave this hair mask for approximately 30 minutes or more. Wash out your hair and enjoy you shiny new hair. 🙂
Cost of the costume are shown by part. Prices in parentheses are the costs if all of the raw materials had to be purchased instead of using leftovers or whatever is available in the house.

All yellow/gold parts appear to be the same color.
All dark gray/black parts appear to be the same color.
Hair bobbles and ribbons are different shades of red than the blazer and each other.
Hey guys, how are we all…? I hope you guys are having a fantastic New Years! I would to share with you guys my thoughts, on this new anime/manga that I’ve started watching/reading. It’s just simply beautiful. It’s called Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso -(Your Lie In April)
It’s about a young pianist called Arima Kousei, some people will refer to him as a “Human Metronome” Kousei plays the piano with perfection, but above all he plays to the score, as a desire to make his mother happy. But after his mother passes away, Kousei has a mental breakdown causing him to not be able to hear the sound of the piano. Until one day everything changes for him…I’m gonna stop here for now.
You guys must be thinking why on earth would you like a manga/anime like that, but the thing is, it gives me mixed emotions or as I like to call it “feels”. I can’t really explain why I like it, cause if I did, there would be a lot of spoilers! It’s just simply beautiful and inspiring!
One the protagonist in the anime/manga named Miyazono Kaori, she is like guiding light for Kousei, but I fear that the worst is about to come.. and I am completely and utterly not okay, with what is gonna happen! It makes me cry every time I think of it.
If you guys haven’t watched and red it, I recommend you guys do!
